In terms of the make, this violin looks a lot like the famous Vieutemps Guarneri, the most valuable Guarneri ever. Also this violin is spectacular! The black plate is from North Amerika and carries a lot of colours, visible at just the right lighting. This dark pearl makes playing into a party!

Specifics
Varnish and colour:
Transparant varnish on linseed oil base with many layers that each have their own colour hue. The whole seems chestnut brown, but under a strong lamp other colours come forward as well, like amber, a golden yellow and a transparant red. At some places a little crackle can be seen.
Interesting details:
A beautiful violin with a subtle lining rather close to the edge. It has light and colour hues in the varnish and has a slim neck.
